Usually, I do not like books of drama, however, this book caught my attention completely, although I am one of those people who do not like reading books based on real life stories because I used to believe that it makes no sense read books about other people's problems. Why would I like to know the problems of other people when I have enough with mine?
However, with this book all changed. I think what I liked of this book is that reading this book, I came to know more about a topic of which I knew nothing at all.
Sometimes as people who have never experienced things such as events that Ashley had to live, we never imagine all the problems that children who are in foster homes have to suffer.
Instead of living in a foster home where they receive love, many of them are being abused and treated as kids who nobody wants.
I also learned that not all stepparents are "bad" as many people believe. Ashley had the great fortune to be adopted by a couple who were willing to love her as their own child.
